BREEDER/SHOW PURCHASE CONTRACT

This contract deals with the purchase of the following described kitten/cat from Linda Webb, Bokavi Cattery:

The Purchaser agrees to pay to the Breeder of the above described cat the sum of $________________ plus the cost of shipping, carrier, and health certificate (if this cat is to be shipped). These monies must be paid in full before the cat is delivered to the Purchaser. Payment may be made by Cashier's Check, Charge Card, or PayPal.

The Purchaser agrees to all terms of this contract:

The Purchaser of this cat is buying the breeding rights for this cat. The breeder of this cat guarantees its fertility except in the case of pyometra in which case the Breeder has no control over. If this cat proves to be infertile for any reasons other than pyometra, and Purchaser is attempting to breed with proven breeding stock, it will be exchanged for one of comparable quality. Testing to prove infertility is at Purchaser's expense.
This cat's health is guaranteed - the Purchaser must take this cat to their own vet within 3 days of arrival. During this 3 days, this cat is not to be in contact with any other cat. Furthermore, if Purchaser has other cats, this cat is to be kept away from all other cats for a 2-week quarantine period for its health and safety.
This cat is guaranteed to be free of congenital defects until it is 3 years of age. If this cat dies within this three years and the death is caused by a congenital defect, the Breeder will replace this cat with one of comparable quality. Proof of the cause of death must be provided to the Breeder by a licensed veterinarian.
The Purchaser agrees that this cat is not to be resold or given to any other person/cattery without being spayed or neutered.
If in the future, the Purchaser decides to sell this cat, this Breeder must be given the first opportunity to buy it back at the original purchase price.
The Breeder must be given the first opportunity to buy from the Purchaser a show/breeder quality kitten from the first litter produced by this kitten.
Purchaser agrees to have this cat fully vaccinated annually and have its teeth cleaned as recommended by their veterinarian.
Purchaser agrees to keep this cat indoors unless under direct supervision (as with using a harness). Cat will be kept totally away from stray cats in which vaccination histories are not known.
Purchaser agrees to keep this cat treated with Advantage so it does not become infested with fleas. Even though this cat is kept indoors, you can carry fleas to it on your clothes. Advantage can be purchased from your veterinarian.
If Purchaser is going to have this cat around untested cats, Purchaser will have this cat vaccinated for Feline Leukemia. Feline Leukemia is an easily contracted disease. It is deadly and can not be cured. Your cat can contract it from a cat carrying the disease (even if it is not showing signs of illness) by eating out of the same dish or mutual grooming.
It is Purchaser's responsibility to provide proper and adequate veterinary care by a licensed veterinarian in the event of any sickness(es) or accident(s). Any failure to do so, voids all guarantees by the Breeder.
There will be no cash refunds.
The Purchaser, by signing this contract, has read, understands, and agrees to abide by the conditions put forth in this contract.
All disputes regarding this contract are to be litigated and governed by the laws and statutes of the State of Tennessee.

This contract constitutes the entire agreement between Breeder and Purchaser pertaining to the sell of this Bengal cat.
